Despite the abject misery following their first round hammering by Falmouth, Bodmin Slayers bounced back determinedly with a 3-2 W in this year’s Hine Plate Final at The Falmouth Club. Opponents Bude thought they were in with a real shout going two love up with good wins from Tony Saxon at #5 and the much improved Chris Hemmerle at #4, but Bodmin had other ideas and coolly won the top three rubbers without a game dropped.
