| Report: | pirates welcomed the Bude Boys to the Mennaye..
Young Ed playing at 4 keen to put in a strong performance did not let us down.. He really was a convincing winner his all round game to strong for evergreen Tony. Ed cut down his unforced errors and found a nice length to take control.. On the other court Wayne was up against whiley old fox Rob one shot Irish.. The night before Rob playing for PZ 2 against Prates 2 demoralised Adrian and ran out a 3 nil winner.. The same happened against Wayne. Robs superior shot selection and the varied shots used gave Wayne no rhythm and no decent rallies to get into the match with.. Rob quickly went 2 up although credit to Wayne he tool the third and looked it might go to 5 , not to be and Rob ran out a 3/1 winner leaving a very frustrated Wayne to ponder.. No 2 we welcomed Tim back after being away on the high seas.. Robin who likes to give the a nice whack started to enjoy himself especially as it was decided to use a single yellow dot.. Tim seemed off the pace and I think it is the fact he has not had enough court time.. The second Tim could have taken but Robin took control and the match 3/0. Nigel at one needed to win 3/0 but it soon looked that he was struggling on court and not moving like is usual self.. All credit to Chris who ran out a well deserved 3/0 winner.. Thank you Phil for a lovely supper and the veggie for Robin.. We will be back Bude to later in the season to give you a stronger match.. |
