| Report: | A great evening of competitive squash. Our guest star Lewis Vinten started the ball rolling with a superb performance against Harry Cobley. Harry controlled most of the rallies but in the end succumbed to Lewis's vigour and determination. Matt proved too wiley for Julian once again, but Julian will go away pleased that he stretched Matt to his limit to take him to 2-3. Another 5 setter ensued with Dave v Jack Dye, and this time experience narrowly won out- Jack clearly resolved that this won't happen again. The final match of the evening was John Stamp v Adam Tatlow. It was a shame the crowd had thinned by this point because after a nervous first came John played a blinder and forced Adam to show what a good player he is. In the best tradition of the N.O B.s (Newquay Old Boys) beer was supped and nonsense talked until gone 11pm (thanks Clare!). A thoroughly good evening! |
