Report: | PZ 2 looking to get some points on the board against a strong Newquay team.. at 4 young Taron started strong against Jack.. The young Pirate taking the first.. These 2 young squash players looked very evenly matched and so it turned out to be. Jack took the bragging rights winning the next 3 games although all 3 were very close.. Taron can be happy with his performance although some court drills required to move him up to the next level.. No 3 was Tim our man with the boast who is still coming back from retirement.. Harry looked sharp in the knock up and this showed in the first when Tim could not find any length and Harry seemed to pick everything up.. Tim improved in the third and stayed with young Harry until late in the game but Harry had always an answer and ran out a 3/0 winner.
Gordon at 2 just returning from the British closed masters and gaining his first cap to play for England in the Home Internationals O65s in April.. Still carrying a niggling injury had a good first game with Adam.. Gordon eased the first and what turned out to be the crucial second with some amazing rallies and pick up's from both players saw Gordon with it 17/15.. Gordon kept up his attacking squash and Adam seemed to have lost his control bounce and spirit . A really super display from Gordon.. At 1 Nigel was up against Darren this was going to be a tough ask for Nigel due to being quite poorly .Darren's quality of shot especially his volleying had Nigel in all shorts of trouble.. The third saw a much closer match although I think Nigel was quite relieved to get off the court. Great squash from Darren who was the deserved winner..
PZ 2 looking forward to getting the better of PZ 1 next Weds and register their first league win..
