| Report: | Another great, albeit chilly night at the Ben Ainsile....
A prompt 6:30 start saw the Harry and Katrina rematch - this time Katrina seemed on the back foot with Harry taking a 3-0 win. Matt took advantage of the cold court, playing slower long and short game, with Julian struggling to get pace into the ball - a 3-0 win for Matt not showing how close it actually was. Tatters entered the court next against a recovering Sai. Tatters covering the court and retrieving everything leaving Sai frustrated. 1 match back from injury, Sais performance was amazing.
Diaz and Dan were on next.... A match that ran for well over an hour started with Daz on the front foot... Taking the first 2 games and covering the court amazingly well to frustrate Dan. Dan ground out the next 3 games, pushing Daz from front to back in an epic battle that could have gone either way. Dan wore Darren out though and Daz - much like Ian Beale - had nuffing left.
Harry took us to his spoons and didn't throw up, which was a change. The rest of the evening spent with a few beers, good conversation, steaks and multiple trips for everyone to close the door! A chilly night was had by all....Up the NOBs! |
