| Report: | TR1 were hosts to Nqy1 tonight, who unfortunately we're lacking some of their top players, that aside it was a good night of squash. Starting with Jared paying Phil the power Thomas'' who gave his all with some fantastic power shots and long rallies but unfortunately it wasn't enough and the county champ took it 3/0. Next on court Neil the veteran verses Max volly kill Knightly' what can I say! At times it wasn't pretty but both players had some good moments, Max took the first, Neil the second. The same for the next two, two all and all to play for, except Max forgot that and Neil took advantage, probably still dripping remnants of Benidorms finest from his brow, he managed to secure the win 3/2.
The 2's were up next, 'George I'm still young, I can get anything Marley, not! Against 'Matt, If it wasn't for the tin I'd win Waterton'. Matt tried his best but George was just playing well and the tin was still too high for matt so it ended at 3/0 George.
The 4's, 'Elliott go for the nick off the serve, shot! Tin! Shot! Tin Moore ' against 'Dave, what a shot, let's keep the rallies short Priem'. There were some great shots played by both players but neither were in it for the long haul, Dave had some fantastic shots and showed he could of taken 2 of the games but Elliott came back to take them. So it ended 3/0. Tr1 taking the match 15/2.
The food a drinks after were great, thanks to the lovely bar manager Kerry and the banter was as usual brilliant from the Newquay boys. |
