| Report: | With Martin, Matt S and Jonny unavailable it was always going to be tough. Thanks to those who stepped up last night.
Dave fought well coming up from the 3rd team. Getting the first game against Ollie. Although, Ollie’s tactics and fitness overcame the accurate game Dave originally put out.
Connor (not showing on the League Master system, so I can't add this result - I've put walkover for now but Tom Newberry will need to amend it) was a new player for TR2, turning up to their club night last week. He placed the ball around the court effectively, and often played a slower ball to get back into position. Huw’s strengths were counterbalanced by Connor’s quick movements, and although having game point in the first, couldn’t quite clinch a game.
Matt T and Tom had gone into a 5th game in the past. But a stronger and fitter Tom took the match 3-1, coming back from loosing the first game. Matt seemed slightly off his usual pace, but came into the team thinking about a key exam tomorrow so thanks for stepping up.
Jack vs Owen was the main event. Owen keen to play revenge for his brother’s loss to Jack the week before. Jack dominated the match though, only loosing 13 points in the 3-0 victory. Can anyone stop him? Hopefully we’ll be able to get back to full strength soon to back him up. |
