| Away Report: | First on, Gary, won 3-1 v Billy. Without doubt our captain’s best match of the season! Although he couldn’t resist the occasional deadly drop shot, he dominated the match with power shots to the back corners and an uncharacteristic willingness to get stuck in to all the rallies! Gary running at full pelt is an awesome sight! Billy is improving and dominated the second.
At this point the Truro camp confidently expected victory. Julian has continued to improve since his last clash with Huw (which Julian won). However Huw won, and to be fair Huw played outstandingly well. Even when Julian clawed the match back to 2-2 we were confident of victory in the fifth, but the Fal3 captain remained strong and controlled the rallies well. Katrina lost to Alex 3-0, but I think the match was closer than the score suggests- Katrina controlled several rallies only to put down the final opportunity to kill the ball.
I lost to Peter 3-2 in the final match. What can I say? Peter played the better squash on the night- amidst all the usual fun and games we come to expect - and sealed victory in the 5th.
Falmouth are back to full strength and great to see the return of Alex after his mishap though Kat might not agree. |
