| Report: | Monday' nights in January at the FSC. Players from both teams opted for a single yellow...which made the squash extremely competitive.
Huw & Tim kicked off the evening with a great encounter. With both players vying for the T at every opportunity things often got a bit congested. The tougher the better for Tim who raised his game where it mattered. Tim edged it 3-1 in a match played in good spirits.
Our player of the season for 2021, Matt Tamblyn was on next against Pete Walker. Another great watch. Some awesome rallies in this one. A lung busting match with Pete taking it in 5.
The number 1s were next on. A 3-0 result to Jonny in what took nearly 50 minutes in duration. A match which looks great preparation for the counties that are being held next weekend.
That made it 6-6 with one match to go. Joel making his seasonal reappearance mixed things up in his usual way, with Martin finding it hard to get into a rhythm. The match went all the way to the final game, with Martin fighting back to claim victory in another 5 - setter.
Great competitive matches throughout.
