| Away Report: | Always good to see the Dragons especially after the long lay-off. Not everyone is firing on all cylinders yet but at least we’re back on court and enjoying the evenings. All matches played in the right spirit but apologies for the Truro #2 Bowyer who contested the marker’s decision in his 2nd game v Mike. Controversial as always but that didn’t stop Mike powering to a 2-0 lead. Bowyer then pulled his finger out to take it in 5 but I can’t see this result being repeated when Mike gets his fitness back! Bowyer may regret the effort next morning trying to get his socks on! Katrina is unbeaten in three for the season and looked every part a winner in her 3-0 v Martin who again looked like he needs more game time to get his form back. Gary got thoroughly eclipsed by Tom in the first but played better from then on and considers himself unlucky to miss out on two very close games! Those couple of pts could have won the overall match! Dave looked superior in the warm up but got totally battered by Matt who surprised his evergreen oppo with his speed around the crt. His dad Ray (RIP) who played for Polkyth back in the day would have been proud of him! Very pleased the Dragons nicked it if I’m wearing my Chairman’s hat but of course totally hell-bent on revenge in Truro on 30/11 as a member of the losing team! Bottom beats top makes a great headline 😃 |
