| Report: | Penzance had a slightly weakened team but as I said to our players, they’re all handy.
Tom J up first for an early 6pm start, haven given blood the day before. Shocked the balcony on court 3 by requesting Coke after the 3rd game. Thankfully he just meant the sugary kind. Best game of the night with quality squash. Martin had a back and fourth against a new player for PZ, getting a good game. Dave C had his second win of the season against Adrian showing some good form. 2 high backhand smashes into the nick were the shots of the night. Tom H was meant to play at 1, but family/work life got the better of him and I stepped in last minute against Nathan. Needing to win 3-0 for a team win, taking the first 2, the pressure got to me and was down 11-13 in the 3rd. A dive winner helped to secure the victory. Cheers to PZ for fielding a team, all good games and a fun evening. |
