Report: | Great night of squash vs fledgling CSM, with a strong showing at 1 from tom g nearly causing tom h a cardiac arrest. Potential clear to see, great to have CSM in the league! Hackett may add something more eloquent once hes recovered.....
Addendum:
Contrasting matches this evening, ranging from a one sided clash including a bagel from the Rhino, to a 5 game thriller. Plenty of enthusiasm from 2-4 seeds from CSM.
New 1st seed Tom G hasn't played competitive squash for 2 years apparently, and on tonight's showing it won't take much sharpening up for him to be competitive amongst the 1st seeds in Div2. |

Notes: | Positive signs from the newcomers in our leagues. Great to see Thomas G at #1 strutting his stuff and sorry to hear his opponent Dr Tom nearly required medical attention to get over the line (Thomas is also a med student). I know Thomas is quite a talent from Sunday Club Nights at Truro so hope he plays more. The points totals in the other three rubbers look encouraging for the quick-learning students and if Alfie and Thomas can turn out in the same team they’ll certainly have an impact on much older teams. Glad to hear there was enthusiasm and I hope the apres squash went well. |
