Report

Report:Playing one of the Falmouth teams is always a close contest.
Falmouth 2 were determined to win the match and take the points home to Falmouth. First up Wayne, very clinical, and without any mistakes. A very close 3rd game would have given Billy the chance to get back into the match, but Wayne managed to close the match in 3.
In a very close second match Adrian secured a 3-2 win against Christian. Adrian was 2-0 up, had 4 match points in the 3rd, and only managed to beat Christian 15-13 in the 5th. What a comeback by Christian, who would have deserved to take the points for Falmouth.
Third match, another exciting, very close match, saw Tom taking the 5th 15-11 against Tim.
Last on court, Nigel and Ollie. Crucial match to secure the overall win. Nigel left no doubts, and secured a 3-1 win for the Pirates.
Another great night at The Pirates, good squash, good company and good food.

Administrator Notes

Notes:Great report, Adrian - I always admire someone with more than one language! Impressive....and so was the 14-5 W but I have to point out that Tom’s 3-2 W v unbeaten Tim on his home court has to rate as one of the biggest surprise wins of the season so far. Well done, Tom, you must have had some special powers that night! Nigel corrected his record v Oli after last week’s other surprise result v the Master. Billy got stronger the more the match v Quinny wore on and I expect the court coverage was impressive. Christian, that lean, mean squash machine fought a great come back against Capitano on the evening but got shaded out in the last few points. Hope they were good points for Adrian and not jammy ones. It was certainly the contest of the evening.....and then Adrian did the food too! A man of many talents, linguistic, culinary and sporting. Happy pirates without the flying Hatch! Soz, TR4 leapfrogged you again back into 2nd spot! 😀
