Notes: | Unlucky to have Oli at 1 out with a calf strain for the opener and double header at Fortress Western Terrace! That certainly influenced the result though TR4 were the reverse having their strongest 4 available. Tom v Ras was certainly the pick of the four rubbers! Tom wasn't far off and will rue a few unforced errors at crucial times in the match. Ras hasn't played much but at 16 you evidently don't need to! Besides, he didn't have any kit at 5pm so thanks to Julian, his minder, for sharing shoes and bat to the talented youngster. He found his kit the folowing eve and gained another 3-zip v Alex 'The Shirehorse' when Fal1 took on TR1 at Truro HQ. Win #2 v Falmouth oppos for Ras, can he make it a hattrick v Huw on Monday. If he does Falmouth might be sick at the sight of him! Julian v Christian was a far better encounter than the scoreline suggests. There were some highly entertaining rallies and Julian was puffing and panting quite a bit but Christian will rue the unforced errors again. Still, Julian is a natural #1 so Christian did well. Then it was the veterans v the future with Tom v The Master and Billy v yours truly! This time experience prevailed though both Tom and Billy will improve greatly; Dave and Tony (sponsored by Voltarol) may need new body parts soon!
A great atmosphere at the famous club with the double header and I know Div2 will be extremely tight again....no soft matches, lots of thrills and spills and hang on to your hats!!! TR4 v Fal3 'The Huw-guenots' - TASTY!! Revenge expected....Note to Admin: Did I hear Fal Uni want to put a side in after Xmas?
