Report: | With the exhibition night going on in Truro, along with a few family emergencies from the Bodmin boys, there were limted players available to make the trip to Falmouth tonight.
However, despite the wind, the rain, and Huw Gibbon sat vigulantly monitoring the activity in and out of Falmouth as he mans his voting booth, Bodmin did send down 2 of their finest gentleman (Max and Rhys).
Jonny was on first and came out of the blocks flying. He secured the first 2 games fairly quickly, but Max seemed keen to show the Falmouth boys he wasnt done yet. The third game Max seemed to get into his stride and hit some tidy shots, with the score at one point being 13-8 to Max. Squeeky bum time for Jonny who really had to push hard to get back on Max, and really clenched hard to get it back to 14-14. Max seemed to really want it tonight and pushed back as Jonny was going for it, fighting all the way. But lucky for Jonny he won 19-17 and came up on top with Max looking forward to getting his breath back after their mamouth session together (and then they played squash).
Martin was up against Rhys next, not sure I really knew what happened during the game as I was playing Alex on the other court (it was a friendly but I won 3-0 if anybody is interested).
Anyway, Falmouth win 15-0. Points needed and 1 more game for us to try and win the league (we need 11 points to win and get above TR3). |
