Report: | The NOBs are on the march! Good quality squash was the order of the day. Meggo still on the injury return, dug deep (what does that actually mean?) to maximise points but a 1-3 defeat to Matt was closer than it appeared on the scoresheet. Matt W played steady squash (for a change) and pushed past Rhys for the 3-1 win. Mark vs Max started off in the NOBs favour - Mark easing to a 2-0 lead. But Max showed determination to bring it back to 2-2 whilst Mark was looking for that killer instinct. It returned to him in the 5th to ensure the win and a NOBs lead. Phil vs Chris was another top quality game of squash. It was a very tight match, Chris having the upper hand to start but Phil’s fitness and tenacity allowed him to claw his way back, much to Chris’ disdain! Phil taking the fifth for another NOBs win! A frosty apres squash in our new bar didn’t stop the NOBs from enjoying another win! Up the NOBs !!! |

Notes: | A tight match this one! Two 3-2s and two 3-1s, that says it all! It must have been a long evening and looking at the scores there must have been some quality rallies! Bodmin have a good haul of points to add to the 15 last week and the NOBs have a brace of wins to start their campaign. Bodmin go 2nd despite 3 Ls but, true to form, they never leave empty handed. Div1 is looking a bit distorted, however, with 7 teams and only two of them with all 4 match days completed. Postponements will have to be played or conceded.
