Report:TR1 vs FAL1
A good night of squash in Falmouth.

First up were the 4th seeds, Deon vs Christian. With Deon keen to make his flight to Zurich he arrived at Western terrace 45mins early and ready to play (everyone else arrived at 7pm though). Deon was on first against rhino (Thomas junior), and he was after a bit of revenge against Falmouth after losing to Alex Head the night before. Deon was on top of things and looked like it was going to be a 3-0 spanking. Rhino got a second wind and got the 3rd game, but didnt have enough in the tank for any more. Deon wins 3-1.

2nd seeds were up next, Martin vs Steve D. Martin is on form at the moment and gave Steve a bit of a trashing. I think martins boasts were too sharp and Steves ability to read them was not. Martin wins 3-0.

Next up were the 3rd seeds, Matt vs Zef. After being discharged from Intensive care earlier that day I came off my ventilator to get on court and show the team what a good captain is made of (I had man flu). Unfortunetely I think watching Steve D too much didnt help, and couldnt get close enough (although I did get a tie break which nearly broke me).

Finally, the 1st seeds. Jonny vs George.
I headed for the shower as they were warming up, thinking I could come back in plenty of time to watch a mamouth game of squash. On my return Jonny was already 2-0 up and still seemed fresh. Without blowing smoke up his arse he is on fire at the moment, undefeated and barely dropping a game. Jonny wins 3-0.

If anyone interested, next monday Fal 1 play TR3. With number 1 seeds being Rory vs Jonny. Could be an epic match, with the potential for a change in the top player in Conrwall!

Administrator Notes

Notes:All eyes on Monday’s top of the table clash at Fortress Western Terrace between Matt’s Fal1 and Tim’s TR3! All eyes in particular on Jonny v Rory, the two top #1s with something to prove. Normally Rory would be favourite but Jonny’s fitness and form since Sept might just see the smart money going on him! I can see it being a titanic battle whatever happens. Neil chose the Spanish carnival season over laying more carpets and being part of this match. Matt had man flu and Deon arrived 30 mins early in the hope of getting away sharpish for his flight but at least he got the revenge he wanted after getting a right shoeing from the shire horse the evening before! Well done Christian - The Rhino - for turning out and happy days for Falmouth!
PLEASED TO REPORT TR1 WERE NOT READY TO PLAY ON TIME.
