Report

Report:What a night at Truro Squash & Leisure Club! .
Truro Team 1 v Truro Team 2 .
Both teams players fought until the very last rally, with some exceptional squash being shown. As a result the bar was empty and Court 1 was buzzing - on court and in the viewing area. The scores are as follows -
4th string - Zefran Counter v Ben Thorpe. A strong performance from the promising up and coming Ben but the game finished 3-0 to Zefran. (15/11 15/4 15/10)

3rd string - Steve Dickinson V Owen London. Steve, even with his years of experience, could not over throw one of Truro's best junior players. Unfortunately for him, losing 3-0 to Owen. (8/15 14/16 14/16)

2nd string - Neil Counter V Louis Murray. With a very tiring hour long game (hence both players looking very tired in the pic, not to mention nearly 40 years age difference). Young Louis managed to hold on, using his fitness and consistency to over throw an extremely experienced and former multiple club champion Neil. The game finished 3-2. (15/12 6/15 15/9 4/15 7/15)

1st String. George Marley V Jack Mahone. Maybe one of the best junior's Truro Squash Club has ever produced, was to tight, too consistent and way too cool for the older George who could not keep up. Jack beat George with a respectable result of 3-0. (11/15 7/15 14/16)

Truro 2 win overall 12-5.

Notes:Great report Zeph and I guess that went out on instagram! You need to give this oldie a lesson in that branch of social media soon! Sounds like the club was rocking around Crt 1 and some landmark wins for the youngsters! Tim is doing a fantastic job of developing these young assassins!
Oh dear, can't remember the last time TR1, former champs, got off to such a poor start to a season. Guess the first win will cause a celebration?!? At least there's Zeph! Well done the youngsters but guess we'll be saying that lots over the coming years! Now, these kind of results suggest the county side may need a rethink!?!
