Notes: | Oh dear! A 10 pt win was not in the script for title hopefuls TR3 but full credit to NQY1 who still managed to win 2 out of the four rubbers with Phil out through injury. So what does this mean in terms of the Autumn League Title and the coveted prize of a place in the Grand Play-Off Final in April to decide top dog in Cornwall for this season?
TR3 sit at the top with 138 pts and 2nd placed Falmouth 1 have 113 pts making a difference of 25pts. TR3 have now finished their 12 matches but Falmouth have a tantalising two in hand, v Bodmin and Tr2 both at Western Terrace. 26 pts for these two very winnable matches will hand them the title so they have it in their own hands to win it and must now be firm favourites. We shall know by late evening next Thursday what the outcome will be. TR3 are no strangers to winning the title but Falmouth haven't been there in decades. If they do it, well, we can all say 'Well done!' and from a neutrals point of view it will be good for squash in Cornwall. Sorry Tim! |
