Report

Report:Four cracking matches- experience vs youth and experience won the day. Ollie vs Tim M saw Tim use some clever height throughout. Ollie got progressively stronger during the match but Tim had enough to close it out 3-0.

During the Ben vs Pete fixture, we witnessed many fantastic rallies with Ben retrieving some unbelievable shots. However, Pete dominated the T and gave a volleying masterclass which helped him clinch it 3-0.

Owen vs Tim S saw Owen get off to a fantastic start volleying everything and dominating the first game. However, Tim dug deep like only he can securing a wonderful 3-1 victory.

Last up was Jack vs Rory which turned out to be a high-quality match with great touch at the front of the court from both players. Each game was very tight. Jack made few unforced errors which helped him to a 3-0 win. Doubtless Rory will be looking for revenge later in the season. A great evening of squash all round.

Administrator Notes

Notes:Great report Paul and a stunning result for your Jack! Most definitely his best yet in the county league - and one to see how it improves the squash levels! We all knew it would happen, it was just the 'when' bit? Rory will seek revenge for sure. We are so pleased to see the youngsters improve steadily and Tim, their school coach, must be delighted they're all getting quality court time. They start their 2019-20 National Schools Trophy bid this week so lets hope they can go all the way this year after being pipped by just a few pts in the final last year. Ben v Simmo was a great experience and maybe Ben will think more about better lengths to avoid the main weaponry of players who look to volley everything! Ollie looked stylish on court and has the makings of a great game - keep it up! Owen has improved so much already that no-one will look forward to playing the U17 champion this season! We're all hoping Louis can get over his shoulder injury.... Meanwhile TR3 quietly go about their business and it looks like they're aiming higher than 'safety' this Autumn.
