Notes: | Final match for both teams. Great to see such a youthful side of teenagers from Truro all except for Joe that is who did put the average age up to about 35! Fresh from his Benidorm training camp and looking like an advert for amber solaire sun cream, the Truro old head did all he could to try and beat Christian (aka Rhino) in the final winner takes all game. Two games would have won it, one for a count back, but Christian looked in total control for a 3 zip. That made Tom H the hero of the evening after his impressive 1-0 start against Ras - that game effectively gave the win to Fal2. Ras was put under a lot of pressure and looked to be struggling. Both squandered good chances it has to be said but eventually Ras asserted his authority on the play to win 3-1. It was easily the best match of the evening and full credit to both! Ollie B made his team debut v vastly improved Tom J. The Truro School youngster was put to the sword quite easily but Truro have found another hot prospect for sure. He’ll improve rapidly if he stays keen. Unfortunately Seb v Oli ended with an injury. Their first game was an absolute cracker but we could all see Oli was suffering with a recurring back problem - sensible choice to shake hands and best wishes for the recovery. Revenge for Seb! Good apres squash over a bowl of tasty Spanish chicken - rated best nosh of the season - and some great harbour stories from Alex. It was never as friendly back in the day! Will miss the squash nights out! Thanks for all your efforts and see you all in September. |
