Report

Report:For the first time all season Tr5 were able to put out their strongest team. The high hopes of a rare win came to fruition with Adam battling through to a very tight 3-2 win against the ever improving young Pirate Quincy! It might well be different next time round, I suspect! Ras at 2 never let Tim settle to his canny boasting game and romped to an impressive 3-0. Ras is looking every bit the player he once was and may have to end the season at 1 at this rate. Gordon’s suntan gave away the fact he hadn’t played much lately but Tony (yours truly) had to work really hard to snatch it 3-1. Tony looked down and out after Gordon fought back to take the third but somehow Tony managed to string together so winners and get across the line with less running than in the 4th. A good crowd had assembled and so far the night had gone the way of the home team. Then Hatchy dampened the euphoria by producing a masterclass of T domination to eclipse the hitherto in-form Seb who really couldn’t get much past the Pirate’s classy volleying game. Hatchy is looking much fitter now. 3 zip it was then but a good night as always with the Pirates and never taken too seriously. Great atmosphere - thanks Gareth!

Away Report

Away Report:' Avery fair report, it was disappointing that court booking went wrong and spectators were not able to view the matches as normal especially when so many packed the bar to watch Ian perform. its no fun headbutting the glass when trying to follow the game.'

Administrator Notes

Notes:A second legitimate win for Tr5 but probably far too late to overtake the team above them. The potential wooden spoonists proved that every team is capable of winning. This emphasises what a good league it is with tight matches and good evenings at the clubs. I really hope this will continue into next season. Hatchy was on drugs! Surely! PS Foul play suspected - even the booking system had Crt 1 booked for this match! Those Russians interfering with it, I suspect!
