Report

Report:A flying start for the Pirates with Wayne ever running and poaching points aided by some errors from Gary earning a well earned win for the Pirates youth policy. Next up was Phil the engine who started well taking the first game but as Si found his accuracy and limiting mistakes had Phil having to run hard to stay in the game so 3/1 to Truro. With things fairly even it was time for Tim and Dave to cross swords. to and fro in the first game with more changes of serve than ever saw Tim squeeze the first game 17/15. Daves comment rallies are over rated summed it up. Tim now in his stride proved more accurate with less errors on his home familiar court no doubt aided by the temperature difference affected Truro away from Sauna city so a 3/0 win for Tim. Ian on next now gaining momentum with improving squash kept his nose in front of the ever running Julian to give another 3/0 win. A quick turn around with the same teams meeting at Truro on Monday. Surely some scores to be settled so cutlasses at the ready for some revenge no doubt. an exciting encounter no doubt

Administrator Notes

Notes:The first of a double header and first blood to the Pirates! No doubt a hoisting of the skull and crossbones followed! Aargh!! Home factor told methinks but that theory will be tested to the full on Monday back at Truro HQ! Interesting! Quinny bounces back from last week’s stumble at TR5 to record a great 3 zip v the Tr4 captain. If Gary only had a little bit of the youngster’s running prowess, if only! Si Tai has gone from abysmal, near laughable form to being the stand out player in Tr4! He will be pleased! Another drug test might be needed!?!? Tim at home v The Master: this head-to-head has gone either way over the last few years but I think Tim nudges ahead with this impressive 3 zip! The thinking man’s squash player, that’s The Master by the way, will have computed and analysed this reversal and if they meet on Monday I predict a W for the home player - sorry Tim! Hatchy will also have to undergo a drugs test as I think that’s 4 on the bounce with two 3 zips v the best of Truro!!! Obviously that low carbs and teetotal diet is working a treat! Div2’s in form man to be sure! Great report again Gareth. Hope the banter was good! Rendezvous Truro Monday....
