Report

Report:Pirates on home turf made Nobs work hard for their win, the close scores for 2nd,3rd and 4th strings show the pirates potential when conditions are right. A very sociable evening enjoyed by all.

Away Report

Away Report:A much stronger Penzance side pushed the NOBs harder than any other match this season so far. Harry focused well to despatch Gordon Mackie for 3-0 in a hard hitting match whilst the Gaffer started strongly against Tim Hayden who had moved down from 2 to 3 since the last clash. After taking the first, the following games were all very close each going to the wire but Tim managed to squeeze out the points when it mattered for a 1-3 loss for the gaffer. Matt struggled to get going just sneaking one of the first 2 games to level at 1-1 before finding a little more form to take a 3-1 win. Mark struggled at the start to a court that is so different to their home one but pushed past Ian making the Penzance player do most of the running. A great social meal at the pirates rounded off the evening as the NOBs march on.

Administrator Notes

Notes:Well done Pirates - the best any team has achieved v the awesome NOBS! TIM HAYDEN is flying at the moment - PLAYER OF THE MONTH - and I suspect 'The Gaffa' Bonelli will incur a huge fine for the first game loss of the season! That runaway NQY1 train is seemingly unstoppable with 100+ pts and still 3 matches to go. Pirates at Home = TRICKY!!! Gordon on court again, best suntan no doubt, is great to see! Glad it was enjoyable and played in the right spirit! Well done all.....
