Report: | Pirates in home waters keen to avenge the drumming away at Bude started strongly with Wayne showing more improvement with every match other than a wobble in the third game showed just how quick his reactions and body can be. Then came the to and fro of the Adrian and Chris contest where Adrian took the first game then 2 to Chris but Adrian got in front in both the final games so at half way 5/4 to Bude. Then Rob started his game with Tim keeping his hoodey on. Obviously the cooler temperature on the South West coast didnt match the North Coast. Hoodey off made no difference Tim Poole with trickle boasts a plenty Rob seemed to have little joy against the Pirate on this outing 3/0 to Tim. At 7/5 up Ian had to pull out a mamouth performance against Tremayne and rose to the challenge in familiar style at 1 a piece it started to look interesting but energy reserves kicked in and 15/1 and 15/6 gave the Pirates an amazing win. Bude did enjoyed the food afterwards seeing the whole team having seconds and Tremayne thirds. (building reserves for the next time he and Ian meet no doubt)

Notes: | What a night of big games at PZ against the title likelylads! I really enjoyed the footage of Hatchy v Tremaine which I’ve just posted to the county FB! Tim back in the groove with that famous trickle boast, Adrian coming back from 2-1 down, Wayne improving by the minute and Hatchy playing big to beat super fit Tremaine. The stuff of legends. Superb report Gareth and loved the comment about Rob’s hoodie! |
