Report

Report:Really enjoyable evening with some great squash played by all players. Mike on court first is really enjoying getting his monies worth with his third five setter in three matches. Like last time he managed to pull away in the fifth despite Ian’s sliding efforts; Mike’s improved fitness really showing on court. Tim was too strong for Harry who fought hard until the end and will only improve with more matches. Then I had my work cut out against the Scot who took a quick early lead and was reading my game too well! Somehow I managed to claw out a victory which I had to fight very hard and my legs will be feeling for days! Finally Andy came across Tim who is always a tricky customer with the lofted serves and deceptive boasts. Andy returned well but Tim managed to pull away in key stages of the sets to take the W. Overall a great night with good company and we’ll look forward to the return fixture.

Administrator Notes

Notes:Great to hear that it was an enjoyable evening for all with good on court action and convivial at the apres squash! Great report Tom and a well-earned win against Gordon who certainly knows a thing or two with bat in hand! I'm not surprised Andy couldn't suss Tim's game out - many have been there and suffered similarly in the past! A tricky pirate! Ahern Jnr will have to put this one down to experience and will only improve with more games! In the end a good Pirate broadside with 13 pts in the hold!
