Carl putting in a solid performance and in parts of the match looking like he would come out on top.Dave just taking a close final game to win the match 3-2. Next on court was Darren Shaw against Matt Waterton.Darren just coming back from three weeks out with an injury and Matt firing on as many cylinders as his Porsche,and with his trademark winning shots Matt managed to take the match 3-0. Last on was Matt Harford against Phil Thomas.This was a fascinating match with Matts tactical mastery up against Phil's fitness and ferocious hitting.It was touch and go until Matt hit the wall and Phil's fitness proved to much.Phil taking the match three, one. So Newquay 1 taking the spoils with only three men and a lot for Newquay 2 to contemplate before the play off with Truro 3!
