Report

Report:Newquay 2 took on the mighty Bodmin Dragons in what turned out to be a hard fought match.
Mike Morgan went on first against Bodmin number 4 Andy Yardley. Andy getting to Eleven in the second game, but overall Mike proving too strong, running out a 3-0 winner.
Next on court was Darren Shaw against Max Knightley. Darren taking the first, but then Max hitting back taking the second and third. The fourth was a titanic battle with Max just running out the winner 16-14.
Dave Priem went on next against Rhys Parry. This was another tough match both players giving everything The pendulum looked to have swung in Rhys's favour in the fourth, But Dave managed to hit back in the fifth and final game taking it 15-9.
The final match was Jamie Lang against Chris Adrian. Chris with a colourful outfit to go with some rather colourful language! Jamie gave everything he could under the circumstances, but Chris proved to strong, taking the match 3-0.So Bodmin just nicking the match 11-7.But still a long way to go in the season!

Administrator Notes

Notes:Great report DG! Bodmin just shading it to gain the 3 bonus points. Good to see Jamie back after his injury and with enough time to hit form again for the inter county weekend coming up. We’re still waiting to see the NYGs put out their strongest team! Chris was just too hot. Max clocked up a good win so the captain will be pleased! Dave obviously has a cracker with Rhys and great to see Andy back on duty in Div 1 even if it was a bit tough against Mad Mike! With Falmouth now without Jonny and Martin they will surely struggle. Does this mean they are the favourites for the drop? My guess is yes but there’s still time to prove me wrong.
