| Report: | Following their league 2 win, Bodmin arrived in high spirits with Falmouth missing their talisman captain Matt.
Recently described by Falmouth’s Doc as a shire horse, Alex battled with Dave in a game that swung both ways, with Dave’s racket skills being too strong for the chasing Alex.
Rhys and I (Huw) had a tight 5 setter, with some delicate play at the front of the court.
Battle of the night was the Arabian foal Jon vs the dragon slayer Max, some majestic play from both players with Jon at times dancing round the court. This match went the distance with the full array of shots.
Final match was a tight affair between professor Martin vs Chris – who looked like he had just stepped off a saga cruise ship with his blue rinse and tights… this was an intriguing encounter with deceptive shot play, the first two games were delicately poised at 13-13, with Chris managing to break Martin’s resolve in the fourth to clinch the win for the team.
All four matches were very competitive, played in good spirits, all eight in the bar after. An enjoyable team match.

| Notes: | The Dragon Slayers get off to a flying start at Falmouth! I wonder what difference Matt might have made however? Max and Jonny was an almighty battle by the look of the score line! That must mean the Slayer has recovered from his injury! Jonny will be delighted with his recall to the Cornwall Senior side too! Glad it was a good evening. |
