Report

Report:Tim Smith and Louis Murray were carrying injuries, so Truro 2 team had Joe playing his 1st match. I wasn't there but by all accounts it was a very close tie with some very good match-ups. Truro 2 winning thanks to one game difference in a game count-up.

Very good run-out for Jack, Ben and Joe before their U15s and U17s National Schools finals for Truro School next Wednesday and Thursday in Nottingham. Come on Truro and Cornwall!

Administrator Notes

Notes:Our TR2 starlets are getting even younger! Welcome Joe Thomson to the Cornwall Leagues! Coach Tim speaks very highly of Joe and this debut will be a great experience. As Alan said, this is great for Truro School's hopes of winning the National Schools' Title next week in Nottingham. The whole of Cornwall is praying for their success and if it comes to be it will be the first national sporting title the school has ever won! I for one will have my smartphone sellotaped to my ear waiting for the result to come in. Louis is crucial to this masterplan so lets hope he's fully rested and raring to go - a wise move to miss this league fixture of little consequence.
Bodmin's plight worsens slightly and they must pick up points in their next two fixtures at home against the two NQYs. With just 3 to go for the Slayers I'm assuming they plan to do this as the last match will be away at Truro HQ against TR1 who will be gunning for a top two place for sure!
TR2 Starlets have some catching up to do and I worry about the fixture congestion they have with just 4 weeks of the season remaining and 6 matches still to play - may have to run over into another week! At least I don't see them getting dragged into the relegation battle and we all have to understand this is a consequence of Truro School's outstanding run in the Nat Schools' Comp! Fingers crossed for the 20th/21st next week!
