Report: | Well and truly outmanned and out gunned in the Den on this one, great away support for Newquay to ensure fines were being recorded and good times being had.
Newquay far to strong on the night, which saw the Slayers get whitewashed for the first time this season. Injuries and illness plaguing the Dragon Slayers and Newquay taking full advantage.
Mego and Matt started the night off with some 'Hot Carl' squash being played! haha don't google (you have been warned) Mego too strong on the night but great fight shown from Matt.
Next up was Andy 'The Chopper' Aherne against Tom, Andy playing some ridiculously good drops and volleys. Tom really took the game to Andy in the 3rd and was unfortunate no to take it to a 4th.
Playing at 2 was Mike and Mark, I missed quite a bit of this one but Mark seemed very sharp on the night and proved too much for Mike who maybe had one eye on tonight's game for Bod 2.
At one was me against Phil, Phil hitting some great form at the moment and me on the other end of the spectrum at the moment. Consistency costing many points which you can not afford to drop against the likes of Phil where every point counts!
Well done Newquay and good luck with the rest of your games. |

Notes: | NQY NOBs too strong but full credit to the Slayers and their dragonlet reserves for keeping the fixture alive. Without a 2nd team this would have been impossible so big thanks to them. It’s always a lot of fun when the NOBs are in town - full credit to them too for bringing character and colour to the league. The Slayers probs have that sinking feeling at the moment but with a few to go they have opportunities to pull away from trouble. Thanks Max! |
