Report

Report:High hopes of some wins dashed by a determined TR4. Julian reeled Tony in after the veteran went 2-0 up but it was by far the best contest of the evening. Adam seemed off the pace against The Master and Joe was competitive in all three but Russ had the guile and movement to close out the match comfortably. Chris deserved to get something in the 4th string match v Gary but just lacked that cutting edge to get over the line. An impressive performance considering that Chris came in as a last minute replacement for Mark and had already played earlier in the evening. TR4 are away at Bude on Thursday whilst TR5 entertain Fal2 at home next Tuesday.

Administrator Notes

Notes:A solid result for Gary’s TR4 team who now have a 6 point advantage over Fal2 in 5th spot with the same games played. However, they do have the top three teams to play in their remaining fixtures before the break. TR5 still seek their first win and remain anchored to the foot of the division. Julian will be delighted to exact revenge on Tony who took the spoils last time they met in October. Chris is improving steadily and will surely get a 2nd win soon. Great that he stood in last minute for Mark’s very late withdrawal due to injury. Joe and Adam both have the firepower to sneak a win but it wasn’t to be tonight. Great to have Clare back at the bar, we all agree! Truro HQ is about to get a festive makeover for the big pro-night on the 7th when Wilstrop will take on Selby in the Battle of Britain! Two top county players will provide the warm up match. A great night in prospect so those with tickets can count themselves lucky!
