Report

Report:I had to mark three games so by the time I got to Julian v Tony I was a bit tired. This would account for my poor decision in their third game when Julian had no right to ask for a let but it doesn’t matter because Tony hit a jammy boast to win 18-16! Good win overall for the 4ths, three 3-0 Ws and Falmouth last week already forgotten. This sets us up nicely for Bude - bring it on! Julian v Tremaine = tasty!!

Away Report

Away Report:All fired up and raring to go then our No 2 pulls out at 2 in the afternoon. Good job Richie stepped in, a true team mate! No excuses though and TR4 were really on it after their drubbing at Falmouth last week! Mark couldn’t handle The Master’s volleying which was clinical again and Richie did his best against Gary but the TR4’s captain’s winners were just too good. Nick was dominant in the first and should’ve taken it until Si Tai got the bit between his teeth. He’s such a great server! Tony v Julian was worthy of Sky Sports, fast and furious for most of the exchanges, and just when Julian was beginning to reel Tony in the TR5 veteran scores a jammy winner - happy days! Away to title contenders Bodmin next week so wish us luck 😳

Administrator Notes

Notes:A great night with very little drama though Tony pushed it all the way in the third by walking off court and should’ve received a conduct warning. The County Chairman got off lightly! TR4 were just too strong in the end but the fighting 5ths will be stronger for it! They were let down at the last minute by their No2 but enjoyed their evening nonetheless. Great to see the Truro Club back to its hosting best after the ructions of the summer. Thanks Pam for the chicken supreme!
