| Report: | Falmouth welcomed the league champions Bodmin to Western terrace, bodmin were missing Max due to injury, however he joined to support his team. First up Dave vs the Doc, a great match with impressive squash played in excellent spirits. Tom was able to see out the match. Next up (with the doc's tasting notes) Peter 'baby spice' Keam vs Mike 'ginger spice' Batt. Weather: inclement, Atmosphere: Tense, as always, a feisty affair - Mike's weight has gone down and his confidence gone up, he was too strong for Pete and his speed and commitment round the court impressed. Next up Rhys vs Alex, the usual committed performance from Alex but a composed game from Rhys was again too strong. Last up Chris vs Huw (me) it was an enjoyable match (lesson) with Chris who rallied good length, killed mid Court and played a pressure game. It will be interesting to see the results in the top division
It's been interesting to see the difference that Chris has had on the bodmin, all of the team have raised their game and are worthy winners of the league. Division 1 will be the most competitive it has been for a while.
Everyone stayed for the meal, so a successful evenings club match.

| Notes: | Home and dry but without Max, Bodmin notch up a final victory before mixing it with the big boys after Grimbo. Love the write up and especially Baby Spice v Ginger Spice - spicy game too! I had to play Chris too but I was all over him so I don’t why it was a lesson, Huw! Dr Tom got the bragging rights then! Nice comments re the Dragons and their promotion. Cream rises to the top they say! |
