| Report: | A fairly relaxed encounter, with NOBs comfortably superior in all positions over a Bude team weakened by absences. Some impressive tenacity on the part of the home team, though, not least Ali, who took a game off the ever-classy Matt. Great sportsmanship throughout, as ever, and the bar took a particularly heavy caning as the evening wore on :) |

| Notes: | Glad to hear it was a relaxed atmosphere conducive to good apres-squash refreshments and banter! Bude is always a good place to play our sport, especially on that historic Barrington Crt! Unless of course you always lose on it! So the NOBs confirm their 2nd place in Div2 against a makeshift but plucky homeside propped up by some Bude legends! Now here's a thing: rumours abound that Bodmin have new signings and are entering a team in Div 2 which may be a very nice Christmas present for the NOBs who clearly are Div1 standard and as RU would be automatically promoted! All to be confirmed shortly after a few loose ends are tied! Meanwhile, Bude are home on Thurs to TR5 in their penultimate fixture which could just be a boost......then visit Falmouth HQ in their last fixture before the break.
Now if Carlsberg did Squash Leagues, probably the Best in the World! |
