| Report: | Some epic matches tonight, particularly at 4, where the strength of Gary’s backhand volleys proved decisive, and 1, where Rob got off to a blistering start only for Julian to reel him in with some shameless tennis shots. Fin at 2 had too much pace for the Master this time, despite occasionally wandering concentration. But if Fin lost focus, Chris found it and put in a performance of rare consistency to seal the tie for Bude. All matches played in excellent spirits and pizza disappeared in record time afterwards! |

| Notes: | Another great night at Fortress Bude with an evidently hard fought set of matches. Julian is back in form with his second win at 1 in a week and that ‘coming from behind’ theme sounds very familiar! The Master always loses 3-1 to Fin and Gary is hitting good form of late. Chris will be delighted with his W against Russ who despite often looking in need of urgent resuscitation always poses a threat. Good to see David in action but I’m wondering where Ali was? MacDonald’s? We wish Tremaine all the best on his trip to SA. Maybe he’ll just read the reports? Great report Rob! See you soon! |
