Report: | Another good win for Newquay against the newly promoted Penzance, who put up a brave fight despite not managing to pick up a game! Mike Morgan went on first against Gareth Crithchley, Gareth getting close in a coupe of games.
Next up was Darren Shaw against Adrian Cruse. Darren taking the first with ease but Adrian pushing Darren harder in the next two but Darren taking the match three love.
Next on court was Jamie Lang against Ian(the dive) Hatch. Despite Ian putting in two or three dives worthy of a straight ten In the Olympics, Jamie was too strong and ran out the three love winner.
Last on was Dave Priem against Tim Hayden. This was a closer match with some good rallies with Dave managing to push through with his superior fitness three love!!!
Overall a great atmosphere and very enjoyable night had by all.

Notes: | So it's true then! There's this rumour going around that Priemy is now a finely-tune super athlete. Outrunning the Flying Hayden is quite a achievement by anyones standards! PZ have Pirate ancestry as we know so plucky, gritty performances like this are not a surprise even with two of their crew abroad plundering! Onwards and upwards for the NYGs who, week by week, look Autumn League favourites and how refreshing that will be! Who said that? Well done Dave's men, the Div1 leaders with 49 pts already! |
