Away Report: | Worth noting that Truro’s No. 1, Tim Smith, was injured for this match so this was an all-junior team with two 13 year-olds playing 1st and 2nd string. Ben played his first 1st Division match this season and the experience playing at this level will be invaluable. Owen competed in the 2nd game against a very strong Darren. The fact that Louis competed well against Matt bodes well for the future in a very enjoyable and close match. Jack took a game to acclimatise to Jamie’s touch, but then played brilliantly in the second game. As Matt Harford said after the tie ‘that was the hardest set of 3-0 wins we have had’. |

Notes: | A great shame an injury to Tim left the boys with an uphill task but full credit to NQY2 for taking full ‘ruthless’ advantage to push on for the Autumn League title and that end-of-season County Play-Off Final. Maybe not a consolation but in sport losing can be a good thing especially if you’re setting out on your playing career - just a thought! But it looks like this results consigns TR2 to third place if Neil’s TR1 continue their good form but guess who they play next? NQY2! 7 points from the same number of matches separate the two so Truro HQ will be rocking tonight! It looks like the decider but after that NQY2 have by far the best run in TIL Xmas. With my county hat on I am delighted for NQY2! Are we seeing a shift in power after so many years of dominance from the capital’s teams? The sleeping Tr3 BEWARE! |
