| Report: | Played at Bodmin to ease travelling for all Bude took full advantage of an under par pirates performance. A 5 string fixture where a much improved Ali Mason narrowly beat Adrian Cruse 16/18 13/15 12/15. Gordon put in a great effort to take a game off Chris but his tan reflected his 3 week break in warmer places. Tim Hayden vows to beat his nemesis Rob who has won the last few meetings. Tim Poole worked hard to keep running but Finns fitness and deep fast returns gave tim little time to play his preferred trickle boasts. Game of the night has to go to Ian v Tremayne Ian full of fitness, running and much pirate jam to win the first game 21/19. ian kept in touch but to no avail. Well done Bude |

| Notes: | Well done Bude and bad luck the Pirates! Great that a neutral venue could be found. Not sure if Bodmin sent scouts but Dragons v Bude on Super Saturday in the Hine Plate Final has a familiar ring about it and it promises to be close. Pirates had an off night but being Div2 champs should keep them smiling over the Summer
break. They’ve had their best season in years! Great team spirit in both teams and two very good captains - many thanks! |
