| Report: | Pirates come away with a great result despite being without talisman Hatchy. Crucially the two Tims managed to edge out the TR4 old guards Dave and Tony in the most competitive matches of the evening. Both home players came back strongly to take both #1 and #2 string matches into a fifth but faded against some good attacking squash from the Tims who deserved their important Ws. Man of the Match for the Truronians was Si 'Terminator' Tai who played some great shots to take revenge for his earlier in the season loss to the canny Adrian. Gordon showed all his experience to comprehensively beat Gazza who looks low in confidence at the moment. Good win Pirates, good effort TR4. |

| Notes: | Pirates climb 12 pts above the Dragons with this 13-7 well earned win. Attention now turns to how well Bodmin do on Wednesday at Bude, always a difficult trip in the division. They have to come away with 12 or more points to regain the promotion spot and then it all depends on the final matches, PZ at Falmouth 2 and Bodmin at TR4. It's tense at the top. By next Thursday we will know who will be Div 2 champions. Squeaky bum time... |
