Report

Report:Falmouth turned up with all their big guns and even a few supporters.....perhaps they scented some TR3 blood! However, we'd also put out a strong side to give Falmouth the respect their team deserved. New Dad, Rory, was up first against Ben and he looked a little out of sorts losing the first to a sprightly Ben. Rory had to dig deep and even though he eventually won 3-1, all the games were very tight. Next up was Walks against Matt which most were expecting to go the distance but Walks is in a rich vein of form at the moment and came out a 3-0 winner. I think he's improving with age!! 3rd on court was the match between Will and Martin, which was a close encounter but Will took it 3-1 and is beginning to find his old game again.....Martin is a notable scalp. The last match proved to be the game of the night between Uncle Joel and Jonny. They've had some titanic battles before and this proved no exception, going the distance and keeping us all up late! Like Will, Joel's game has really come on this half and it was good to see him edge the 5th with the effort that he put in. Great evening with the Falmouth crew and even though the scoreline suggests a comfortable Truro win, it was far from it. Close inspection of the individual game scores shows how close it really was. As always, the evening was rounded off with a great chilli from Clare.

Away Report

Away Report:'Two very good line ups made for a impressive spectacle. Falmouth battled away and the scores in many of the games were close, but we take our hats off to an impressive league winning Tr3 team who were too strong in the end. Rory with Leo watching his dad play for the first time, is a class act, playing for the first match after Paternity Leave and made for a decent match. Joel and Jonny was the match of the night and enthralled the spectators. We look forward to some more battles next season. A great evening of squash and the hosting top notch as always.'

Administrator Notes

Notes:Some great matches and the return of Daddy Rory with Leo watching for the first time. By the way, we’ve signed him up already for Truro, just to let Falmouth know! Joel v Jonny must have been a humdinger and Uncle Joel will be delighted to put one over his old club mate and adversary. Skywalker is pretty must invincible at the moment and no-one will fancy drawing him in the hotly contested Truro champs coming up! Will-O-the-Wisp is perhaps peaking just at the right time as well! Two strong squads and a good night at Truro HQ which I understand had interest on the next court too. Pete Keam, who returns to Falmouth next season, beats the Old Master DM to record probably his best W of the season! Well done TR3 - worthy Spring Champions indeed and just a Play-Off to negotiate v TR2 to confirm superiority over all comers. It’s a funny old game so anything can happen! Who will lift the Boardwalk trophy? All eyes now on that relegation battle between NQY1 and TR2 - you see, it really is a funny old game! PS Great reporting Jon and Huw - always a pleasure to read your reports!
