Report: | Another competitive match involving Truro and Newquay with Truro giving a debut to 13 year old Ben Thorpe.Ben put up a solid performance and pushed Owen in every game but unfortunately was unable to take a game. After last week's heroics Darren Shaw was brought firmly down to earth by a focused and ruthless Jack Mahon winning 3-0. An out of sorts Tim Smith played Matt Harford at one Matt taking that game 3-0 comfortably.Great to see so many youngsters coming through and long may it continue! |

Notes: | Great to see so many youngsters coming through and some of them giving the old guard quite a lesson too! Matt is a class act and Tim is only just returning to full fitness, and Ben made his debut and did so well v Owen who is certainly improving. That puts the NYGs in a better position re relegation but TR2, the Autumn Champs, must be getting nervy!!! 3 home games with a crucial one against fellow trap door rivals the NOBs - the DECIDER? The NOBs meanwhile will be thanking their NQY team mates for the W against Tim's Starlets! |
