| Report: | Decent competitive match up, Penzance turned up with their own supporters (Nigel!). Ed gave me a good run around, damn those youngsters getting us old folks's drop shots, leaving us scratching our heads for a plan B. Neyth had a slow start before he found his range and got the better of birthday boy Alex. Good to see Jack returning from injury vs Tambo, another slow start for Pz before he settled in. Mark and Tom was a proper ding dong, with a run of points for each player before being pegged back. A great competitive match between the two of them. Dinner was Spanish chicken, a request from the birthday boy himself, the occasion even included dessert complete with birthday candles. |
