Report: | As we all know, score lines don’t always tell the true story of the match. Even though Nigel lost 3-0 to Pete, he showed why he was the Cornwall number 2 in years gone by with some deft touches and superb retrieving. Will and Steve had a great battle but Steve just ran out of steam. Old timer Neil proved once again that he’s a force, having been 2-1 down to Joel. He ground out a great 3-2 win and it was the younger man who ran out of puff. The real treat of the evening was the battle between Rory and George...what a great match. Played at a frenetic pace with deft touches and amazing disguise, the crowd never left their seats! A cracking evening - a real credit to Cornish squash. |

Notes: | An excellent report noted! Good, clean matches and friendly rivalry, all that a league match should have. I watched some great rallies between the 4th and 3rd strings, then Joel and Neil really took it up a notch. George is edging closer to Rory, I get the feeling. Four straight Ws and a 19 point gap already. Well done Tr3 captain - an enjoyable evening had by all. |
