| Report: | The Falmouth derby delivered again: competitive matches, great rallies, and matches going the distance.
First up was me and Dr Tom. I played some of my best squash to ensure a much tighter match that our last meeting. After some long, hard rallies we took it all the way to a deciding fifth. Tom just edged it in the end, taking the match 3–2 for Fal2.
Tambo pushed Oscar close in a couple of games with his usual all-action style, but Oscar proved too strong on the night, securing a 3–0 win to put Fal3 ahead.
Huw rediscovered his form with a screppy yet confident performance against Tom J, who looked slightly off the pace. Huw closed it out clinically for a Fal2 3–0 victory.
Rob and Alex payed a close first few games, trading points and momentum. At 2–2 it was anyone’s match, but Alex found a bit more in the tank and used some smart tactics in the fifth to take it 3–2.
A cracking night all round, played in great spirits.
Final score: 12–7 to Falmouth 2. |
