| Report: | The newquay veterans came to town, Gavin 24 hours after getting one over the Falmouth no.1. First up was Alex vs Darren, Daz's steady play won the day. With too much composure for Alex to break him down. Smack it Hackett vs Matt W was swinging both ways, before Matt's precision was too accurate and was catching out the Dr. I took on Max, who's had a long summer break, some long rallies and some good quality squash, it went all the way, before I managed to sneak the 5th. Match of night was Tambo vs Gav, Gav's deft touches working well at the front of the court, left Tambo in distress. Before Tambo's relentless energy and retrieving ground down Gav. Tambo looked like he'd just stepped out of the shower, with some dives (collapses) which required court service. A big win for Wham bam Tam. A competitive evening with the Newquay Cornwall squash legends. |
