| Report: | Gordon was pulled in to cover for the injured Nigel.. Gordon soon took control with his cunning shot selection and accuracy although Rory was full of energy and endeavour.. Rory competed in every game although Gordon ran out a comfortable winner.. Neythan at 3 back from a lengthy period off court soon found that lethal lefty forehand working to great effect. Neythan had to much control and although Nick gave everything to many unforced errors was his downfall in the end.. £/0 to Neythan..Tim at 2 was in for a much harder game aganist Robin..Tim nicked the first and took control of the second only to falter and lose the second.Robin found his confidence and range especially on his backhand. Tim although competed well but his lack of drops and boasts played into Robin hand who took the match 3/1. Jack at no 1 soon found his length against a very awkward Chris and took an easy first. In the second Chris took a big lead although Jack reeled him to take a close second. The third Jack took full control and ran out a 3/0 winner . Chris can be very happy with the effort and game he played.. We had a cracking Stew at the fountain thanks to Chef Phil.. Safe trip Bude Boys.. |
