| Report: | Lovely match with Foey. Tim first on v Paul. Tim’s deadly volley boasts Dominated the first game. Paul’s determination and constant volleying had Tim in trouble before Tim did fewer cross courts and his boast and counter drop did the damage. The third game went the same way with Paul keeping in the game with some great volley drops- Tim too strong though.
Hatchys great counter dropping and disguise saw him run away with the first game. The pattern was repeated in the next two games though Martin hit some fine volley winners off Hatchy served and continued to go for his shots. Only two dives from Hatchy.
Gordon started strongly v Mike both players hitting volleys boasts and drives. On the next three games though Mike dominated hitting many winners off Gordon’s serves, hard drives getting returned but putting Mike in a position to dominate. A close third game saw Gordon serve out at 13-14.
Nigel played his best match if the season v Matt. A close first game with Nigel’s not too tight drives and Matt’s super tight drops. Nigel then dominated taking advantage of many loose shots from Matt in the second. Nigel came into his own in the third. Matt improved but Nigel was now playing excellent squash, driving lobbing and boasting well.
